[Class 60] A machine for grinding cylindrical and non- cylindrical work comprises a grinding-wheel a and a frame h, pivotally mounted at i, carrying the work b and coaxially therewith a gearwheel c and a cam d. The wheel c and cam d are driven together by a gear-wheel e on a shaft f, which also carries a cam g engaging the cam d, the wheels c, e being kept in mesh by a spring acting on the frame h. Cylindrical work is ground by the use of two circular cams, d, e, and non-cylindrical work by the use of one or both cams of non-circular form.
